Over the years, the folks at SFJAZZ have expanded from a handful of jazz concerts in October to a year-round series of top-flight performances, hailed internationally as one of the premier showcases for jazz.

This year, SFJAZZ celebrates its 29th anniversary with SummerFest, a summer season of free jazz concerts at Union Square and Levi's Plaza (TBA) in San Francisco, and the Stanford Shopping Center on the Peninsula. 

This year's performers include bassist Kai Eckhardt's Zeitgeist, the Dynamic Miss Faye Carol, saxophonist Dayna Stephens, guitarist Terrence Brewer's Citizen Rhythm Project, jazz violinist Mads Tolling, the Jazz Mafia Allstars, the Jazz Goddesses guitar trio (Mimi Fox, Jane Getter and Leni Stern) and more.
