The San Francisco Jazz Festival celebrates its 11th annual Spring Series February 19 through June 12 with more than 40 concerts, featuring a line-up of international and national jazz masters, along with artists representing the cutting edge in jazz.

Among the artists performing at this year's spring series are jazz singer Kurt Elling with the Count Basie Orchestra; jazz  vocalists Bobby McFerrin and Dianne Reeves; guitarist Al DiMeola's World Sinfonia; Ladysmith Black Mambazo; a double bill with Japanese sensation Hiromi and rising post-bop/hip-hop star The Robert Glasper Quartet; Renee Rosnes with Bill Charlap and Toshiko Akiyoshi with Lew Tabackin; a Cuban dance party with Issac Delgado; the SFJAZZ Collective; and more.

Capping this year's spring concert series is a gala benefit concert honoring legendary Bay Area vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson May 8 at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco.

"SFJAZZ is once again offering a myriad of amazing artists and an array of experiences that you’ll not likely find in the Bay Area — or elsewhere," said festival director Randall Kline. "It's a strange and wonderful paradox that jazz, and related musics, require tremendous unity of purpose but also reflect the passions of incredibly diverse musicians. In some of the groups we present at SFJAZZ, literally every person on stage is from a different country. Yet they perform together as one, whether playing a melody in unison or creating complex sonic textures for layered improvisation."
