Grammy winning guitarist George Benson performs at the JVC Jazz Festival
on Saturday, August 16
|
Over
the years, the Concord Pavilion has gone through so
many corporate-sponsored name changes that we can't keep track
of what they're calling the place these days. But we do
know the contemporary jazz road warriors of this year's JVC Jazz
Festival will be hitting the Concord stage on Saturday, August
16.
We
also know who's scheduled to appear at this year's
traveling festival (with stops in New York, Miami,
Chicago, and L.A.): Grammy-winning guitarist George
Benson, smooth saxman Boney James, pianist Ramsey
Lewis, and Norman Brown's "Summer Storm" featuring
vocalist extraordinaire Chanté Moore, saxophonist Paul Taylor and
keyboardist Alex Bugnon.
That's
a lot of smooth jazz... doors open at 3 pm, and the music
starts at 4.

tickets please
